| Title: | Ética, Flusser: uma inserção crítica |

| Abstract: | Vilém Flusser, a Czech-Brazilian philosopher, is not commonly linked to ethics and morals, unlike Emmanuel Levinas, for instance. However, Flusser is an important ethical thinker deserving of recognition in this field. To this end, the present study seeks to show how the concepts of "intersubjectivity", "transcension" and "affective responsibility" form a unique Flusserian ethics of alterity, suggesting that his philosophical ideas should be viewed through this ethical lens. That said, in this endeavour, a key question arises regarding Flusser's claim that his second book, The History of the Devil, was an attempt at ethics - claim which many readers disagree with, viewing it instead as a reflection on death. Thus, this study also seeks to clarify both the book's structure and some of its ideas, encouraging a deeper examination of Flusser's ethical intents. |
| Description: | Vilém Flusser, filósofo pragense-paulistano, não é habitualmente associado à ética e à moral, ao contrário de Emmanuel Levinas, por exemplo. No entanto, Flusser é um pensador ético significativo, merecedor de reconhecimento neste campo. Para isto, este estudo procura mostrar como os conceitos de "intersubjetividade", "transcensão" e "responsabilidade afetiva" formam uma ética flusseriana da alteridade singular, sugerindo que as suas ideias filosóficas devem ser vistas através desta lente ética. Contudo, nessa empreitada, uma questão-chave surge em relação à afirmação de Flusser de que o seu segundo livro, A História do Diabo, foi uma tentativa de ética - afirmação com a qual muitos leitores discordam, vendo-o, em vez disso, como uma reflexão sobre a morte. Neste caso, o estudo procura também esclarecer tanto a estrutura do livro como algumas das suas ideias, incentivando um exame mais aprofundado da intenção de Flusser. |
