Tradições textuais nos mosteiros femininos da Idade Moderna: aspetos do discurso da monja dominicana soror Violante do Céu

Abstract

This study aims to analyse aspects related to the discursive traditions cultivated in the multifaceted work of Soror Violante do Céu. Having analysed a number of significant texts from the Parnaso Lusitano, the article concludes that this author (undoubtedly one of the most central, yet ironically perhaps lesser-known practitioners of Peninsular Baroque poetry), masters a wide range of diverse textual traditions, proving her importance in the panorama of 17th-century Portuguese literature.
