A Receita Perfeita: A importância da afetividade positiva no relacionamento com os alunos

Abstract

This School Placement Report, carried out as part of the Master's Degree in Physical Education Teaching in Primary and Secondary Education at the Faculty of Sport of the University of Porto, aims to describe the course of the Professional Internship, both on a personal and professional level. It was carried out at a secondary school located in the municipality of Porto. It was entitled The Perfect Recipe: The importance of positive affectivity in relationships with students, and seeks to describe and analyse the journey developed throughout the school year, where the Student Intern had the opportunity to teach groups 620 and 260, assuming the role of teacher and everything that this entails, putting into practice the curriculum developed throughout their training. The document begins by introducing the EE (chef), describing the entire journey that led to this master's degree. It then addresses the essential stages of the teaching-learning process, from annual planning and the development of teaching units to teaching and assessing lessons. As in a well-organised kitchen, each moment was carefully prepared, adjusting the pedagogical "ingredients" according to the students' needs. In addition to the technical and organisational aspects, the relevance of Positive Affectivity (PA) and the relationship with students stands out, factors that acted as the essential "seasoning" to create an environment of trust, motivation and active participation. This relational dimension proved to be decisive in enhancing meaningful learning and the development of personal and social skills. The report also highlights the challenges faced, the strategies used, and the lessons learned, emphasising critical reflection as the process of continuous improvement that enriches the "recipe" for professional teaching identity.
