De Estudante a Professora: Construção de uma Identidade Profissional em Educação Física

Abstract

This Internship Report was prepared within the scope of the Professional Internship Curricular Unit of the Master's Degree in Physical Education in Basic and Secondary Education at the Sports Faculty of the University of Porto. This document reflects the path taken throughout the academic year 2024/2025, during the supervised pedagogical practice in the Pêro Vaz de Caminha School Group, in the city of Porto, bringing together the experiences, learning and reflections that marked this course. Along this path, I had the opportunity to teach different teaching cycles, participate in extracurricular activities and collaborate in various educational projects. They were moments that challenged me, but also made me grow, helping me to develop pedagogical, relational and organizational skills. This process, marked by achievements and difficulties, consolidated in me my identity as a future teacher of Physical Education, as well as the certainty of choosing teaching as a professional path. The report is organized in different chapters: Introduction, where the document is framed and presents its purpose; the Personal Framework, where the initial motivations and expectations are presented; the Institutional Framework, which characterizes the cooperating school, the classes and the internship core; the Operational Framework, which describes the pedagogical practice; the Participation in the school community; the Research Study, which sought to analyze the levels of physical fitness of students of the 9th grade over a school year, using the tests of the program FITescola®; and, finally, the Final Considerations, which synthesize the learnings, constraints and contributions of this path. Thus, this report is not an academic requirement, but above all a process of formation, reflection and personal and professional growth, which prepared me to assume, with greater confidence and responsibility, the role of Physical Education teacher.
