| Abstract: | In search of some lost time. Tropical Geography at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the University of Porto - The Geography course at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Porto began operating in October 1972. Considering only the date ranges in which a Geography course ran at the University of Porto (1919-1931; 1972 onwards), one can, schematically, consider the evolution of overseas studies in the evolution of this fragmented history. There are several contributions to a certain revival of tropical themes in the current Geography of the Faculty of Arts of Porto and they come from various sources |
| Description: | O curso de Geografia da Faculdade de Letras da Universidade do Porto entrou em funcionamento em Outubro de 1972. Considerando apenas os intervalos de datas em que funcionou um curso de Geografia na Universidade do Porto (1919-1931; 1972 em diante), esquematicamente pode considerar-se a evolução dos estudos ultramarinos na evolução desta história fragmentada. São diversos os contributos para um certo reavivamento dos temas tropicais na Geografia actual da Faculdade de Letras do Porto e procedem de várias origens |
