Análise crítica do texto A apropriação da escrita por crianças surdas de Sônia Dechandt-Brochado

Abstract

This work is a critical analysis of the article "A apropriação da escrita por crianças surdas" from Sonia Dechandt-Brochado, published in 2006 in the book Estudos Surdos I, a collection of research in deaf education area, organized by Ronice Müller Quadros. The study in question is the result of the doctoral thesis of the researcher, defended in 2003, whose purpose was to investigate how the appropriation of the Portuguese language in the written form as a second language happens for deaf children who had the Brazilian Sign Language as their mother tongue, without necessarily going through orality.
