Abstract

The present dissertation arises from the need to seek answers to the various questions imposed by the author on himself, and from the need to think about architecture and make the city, taking into account, above all, social dynamics. The intervention capacity of Architecture and Urbanism in its conventional understanding does not have the capacity to respond to the speed of transformations in society and in the city they are experiencing. It is rather convenient to find a place where the professional - the architect - is closer to the two aspects that come together in this equation: the people and the project. In this way, it was sought through studies and observations, intentions and impositions of entities, to create a valid attempt to conjugate the present values: in the problematic that covers the city and the people, and with this, its condition of society, the vision of Architecture and its interdisciplinarity, considering its social, economic, environmental, and political dependence, with the issue of citizen participation, which are fundamental themes to integrate in this set of correlations, being essential for the development of this work. The project intention is physically presented by an intervention strategy in the city, which thus points to a development of learning stimulated by the constant need to observe the effective urban dynamics.
