Estágio Profissional: Crescer ao som da banda sonora de um ano letivo de sonho

Abstract

School Placement: Growing to the Soundtrack of a Dream School Year is a document that reflects the journey of my School Placement part of the Master's Degree in Physical Education Teaching in Basic and Secondary Education. The School Placement represents a wide range of experiences and emotions that, when intensely lived, intertwine with different musical styles. In a blend of sensations, it culminates in a year full of teachings and learning moments, all in pursuit of a dream: to become a Physical Education teacher. As a result of facing the real context of pedagogical practice, the main objectives of my internship emerged - the application of theoretical knowledge acquired throughout my academic training, as well as the development of pedagogical and reflective skills regarding teaching practice. The school placement I portray here took place in the school where I was once a happy pupil. Now, in a different role, and supported by a Cooperating Teacher and a Supervising Teacher, in synergy with the school placement Group, I began to write my own story within the teaching profession. I begin this report with a Personal Framework, followed by an Institutional Framework, where I describe those who closely accompanied me. Next, in a series of chapters, I present my initial ideas about teaching practice. In these, I outline not only the various inherent challenges and how I managed to overcome them, but also the learning experiences I gathered throughout the academic year. Gradually, I sought to rediscover myself, building my professional identity and shaping who I am in response to the needs of those around me. Finally, as a result of my constant curiosity regarding the role of the form tutor, I include a chapter entitled Professional Development, where I seek to understand pupils' perceptions of this key educational figure. To conclude this Internship Report, carrying with me a soundtrack filled with dreams, I share a reflective summary of what this school year has meant to me and what lies ahead in the future.
