Caminhos de professor em construção profissional: testar, refletir e ensinar com propósito

Abstract

This Internship Report marks the end of the Professional School Placement that is part of the 2nd year study plan of the Master's Degree in Physical Education Teaching in Primary and Secondary Education at the Faculty of Sport of the University of Porto. Through this document, I seek to present in a practical and objective manner all the work carried out throughout the academic year, the challenges faced and the progress achieved, which reflect not only what I taught, but above all what I learned from the students, colleagues and the school. The teaching intervention took place in three different contexts: a resident class of tenth-year secondary school students and two shared classes of fourth and fifth-year primary school students. This diversity of contexts gave me the privilege of teaching first, second, and third cycle classes throughout the school year, which required me to be highly adaptable and skilled in planning and pedagogical differentiation. Throughout this report, I address topics such as planning, didactic intervention, the use of pedagogical models, assessment issues, and the teacher's reflective process. In addition to these structural axes, I also had the opportunity to conduct a study focusing on student-centred teaching through game-based approaches. This study sought to understand the impact of applying the Tactical Games Model in the context of a badminton teaching unit. Thus, I believe that this document accurately reflects all the learning, knowledge acquired and experiences shared that have contributed decisively to the construction of my Professional Identity, based on Critical, Intentional and Reflective Thinking.
