Abstract

The universe of festivals, for the study of fandom culture, has increasingly become an obligatory point for understanding the cultural dynamics of/in contemporary societies. Focusing on the "Festival da Comida Continente 2023" as an emblematic case, this article promotes an analysis of how food and music, as the core of the event's programming, become vectors of aggregation and sociability for the elaboration of what some scholars have called/identified of cultural scenes (Bennett, 2004, 2014; Blum, 2001; Guerra, 2024, 2021, 2018, 2017, 2016). It is important to mention that the case under study raises conditions for us to design the set of behaviors of the festival's public as the main promoter of a logic of pulsating collectivization, of sharing interests that are interrelated and externalized, becoming a central part for the existence of the cultural scene.
