Abstract

The Professional Internship is a Curricular Unit framed within the Master's Degree in Teaching Physical Education in Basic and Secondary Education at the Faculty of Sports Sciences of the University of Porto. Throughout an academic year, the Student Intern is included in a real context of supervised practice, which essentially encompasses three areas of performance: Area 1 - Organization and Management of Teaching and Learning; Area 2 - Participation in the School and Relations with the Community; Area 3 - Professional Development. This report was created with the aim of recreating the experiences and learning of the Student Intern, especially regarding the three areas mentioned above. Due to the Student Intern's integration into an institutional context distinct from the others, the initial presentation focuses on that framework, emphasizing the characteristics of the school and all essential stakeholders in the Professional Internship process. Next, Area 1 is explored, which portrays the professional practice in the Physical Education discipline in a 10th-grade class, analyzing the actions, experiences, and reflections of the Student Intern. However, since the role of the Student Intern extends beyond classes and the teaching-learning process, Area 2 discusses the various events in which they were involved, as well as the activities organized by them. Finally, based on observed needs, Area 3 develops an investigative essay that aims to analyze students' perception of the teaching models used by the Student Intern throughout this academic year.
