Relatório de Estágio Profissionalizante realizado no Lusitânia de Lourosa Futebol Clube, Juvenis A (Sub-17) masculina, na época desportiva 2023/2024

Abstract

This internship report was carried out as part of the 2nd cycle in Sports Training - High Performance at the Faculty of Sport of the University of Porto, and was carried out at Lusitânia Lourosa Futebol Clube, in the men's Youth A (U17) team, during the 2023/2024 season. The opportunity to work in a National Championship context, close to the one I hope to be able to experience one day, filled me with great expectations and motivation to be able to demonstrate my abilities and my value, in the most demanding context I have ever experienced as a coach. The prospect of being able to evolve as a coach and human being was also a goal and a motivation that I welcomed. As a Trainee Coach, I carried out the duties expected of me, as well as assisting the different members of the coaching staff in the different areas related to training. Throughout the season I spent a lot of my time helping the Assistant Coach analyse the opposition and our team. After an overview of the internship and the institution where it took place, there follows a detailed description of the functional context in which I was involved. The roles of the members of the coaching staff, the competitive context, the characterisation of the squad, the playing model and the methodology applied are explored in depth. All of this, whenever possible and relevant, is accompanied by a reflective component. The final part of the report includes critical reflections on the year's work, as well as reflections on personal and professional development. In short, this internship was very enriching, allowing me to learn and develop as a coach, putting into practice the lessons I had learnt throughout my university years.
