Cumplicidades: Diálogos entre a Arquitectura e a Arte

Abstract

With the aim of exploring the interdisciplinary dialogue between art and architecture, as well as how they intertwine, it is necessary to understand their forms of expression and the spatial perception they create. Using artists such as Piet Mondrian, Alexander Calder and James Turrell, and architects such as Peter Zumthor, Lina Bo Bardi and Tadao Ando, we propose a detailed analysis of the dialogue established between artistic creations and architectural spaces. "rough sensitivity to themes that are common to both disciplines, the aim is to gain a better and closer understanding of their relationship. Culminating in the exhibition space, which is perceived as the result of this free communication, a variety of themes are explored that aim to help understand the communion between architecture and art. By highlighting the role of abstraction, widely developed by artists, it is possible to understand its appropriation in the spaces analysed. In a sensory and plastic journey, this dissertation aims to bring architecture and art closer together by exploring themes such as light, transparency and colour, among others.
