Estágio Profissional: Um lugar de aprendizagem e evolução

Abstract

This Professional School placement included in the study plan of the 2nd year of the Master's Degree in Teaching Physical Education in Basic and Secondary Education at the Faculty of Sports of the University of Porto, gave me the opportunity to put into practice all the knowledge acquired throughout these two years. This document, called the Internship Report (RE), will document my supervised teaching practice and my professional development. The report is divided into 6 areas. In the personal framework, I provide a mirror of what my personal experience was and how it fueled my ambition to obtain a master's degree and my path to this day. Next, I explain my initial doubts and expectations that accompanied me during this internship year and how I managed to overcome them. I address the professional internship, its importance for student-interns and with it the cooperating school, where I carried out my supervised practice, with its characterization. Later I refer to the context of practice where I include the importance of physical education, the idea that was shaped regarding being a teacher and my identity as a future teacher. When it comes to practice, I highlight the planning, as well as the difficulties I faced and the methods and strategies I used to overcome them, which also includes the null plan, the knowledge structure model, the didactic unit and the plan of class. I always discuss the evolution of each element and how it transformed my practice. Area 2 comes next with reference to my participation in the school and the relationship with the school community, which also brought me unique experiences. Area three essentially focuses on showing how pedagogical models or perspectives reach the student and involve them, I address issues such as social cohesion and task cohesion and how the sports education model can be a fundamental piece in helping these students two points. Social cohesion was a fundamental aspect discerning as students resolved the lack of motivation for practice, communication with other members of the team and class and their performance in the modality under study.
