| Title: | PRÁTICAS CORPORAIS DE SAÚDE: ACOLHIMENTO E HUMANIZAÇÃO |
| Issue Date: | 2024-11-08 |
| Abstract: | This work portrays a little of my academic and professional journey, in Physiotherapy and Physical Education courses. Throughout this trajectory I have always questioned the lack of integration of disciplines in the areas of social sciences and humanities in professional training and its importance for a more humanized practice. These reflections were stimulated and driven by the observation of the emotional distance of professionals in contrast to the need for human acceptance in the care of users. This autoethnographic study involved my personal immersion in the analysis and reflection of users' statements, as well as my practice in the exercise of my profession as a Physiotherapist and Physical Education Professional, in the clinical context, that is, an active participation as a researcher and, also, being the object of research. Diaries and personal reflections were used to compose the work. I was recording in my memory, part of the dialogues of informal conversations with users, between one exercise and another, in which they described, on a timeline, an entire life narrative. There were conversations about family, work, especially health and illness. The study aims to promote humanization in healthcare, confronting the traditional idea centered on pathology with a more welcoming, empathetic and humanized approach. |
