Arquitetura Acústica: Dispositivo Acústico - Arquitetónico para uma Sala de Ensaio

Abstract

This dissertation is the result of an investigation that includes information and learning obtained throughout the process of reading documents related to the theme "Acoustics and Architecture", as well as references to the practical experiences that influenced the architectural project presented. The search arose from the need to create a solution to the acoustic precariousness of a rehearsal room, motivated by the interest in uniting the two creative areas: Music and Architecture. During the investigation it was observed that there is a constant dialogue between these two "arts" and it was through this recognition that the orientation of design approaches was established. However, more than looking for solutions to the acoustic problems of a space, the intention was to create a structure that emphasises this interdisciplinary relationship, a representative installation, a structure that, like a musical composition, structures a fraction of the time and makes up the space.
