Estágio Profissional: Relatos de um estudante-estagiário na procura de uma (boa) prática pedagógica

Abstract

The Professional School Placement (EP) is part of the curriculum of the second year of the Master's Degree in Teaching Physical Education in Primary and Secondary Schools, at the Faculty of Sports of the University of Porto. This internship provides the preservice teacher with the opportunity to experience the reality of teaching Physical Education in schools, under the supervision of experienced professionals, including a cooperating teacher at the school and a faculty advisor. This document, called Internship Report, describes the entire process, experiences and knowledge acquired throughout the academic year. It was a year full of learning, enriching experiences and solving challenges. In this report, I detail the strategies used, the planning carried out and the way in which students were involved in the learning process. In the 1st period, my main objective was to identify the problematic areas in my work as a teacher and reflect on how to overcome them. During the 2nd period, I tried to solve these issues using different strategies discussed with the cooperating teacher. The 3rd period, in turn, was dedicated to enjoying my classes as a Secondary School Physical Education teacher. In the study I carried out, I was able to understand some of the advantages of using a specific teaching model and I was able to identify problems in my teaching. I end with a sincere reflection on this very rewarding experience.
