Estágio Profissional: O Outro Lado do Espelho

Abstract

This document reports on the Professional Internship period, part of the Master's in Teaching Physical Education in Primary and Secondary Education at the Faculty of Sport of the University of Porto. This was a period of Supervised Teaching Practice, over one academic year, at the Alberto Sampaio Secondary School. This Internship Report outlines the experiences and learnings from the pedagogical practice from a reflective point of view. To introduce the Student Intern and the practice context, the document starts with a personal presentation, followed by an institutional framework. Subsequently, the document is divided into three major performance areas: Area 1 - Organization and Management of Teaching and Learning, which includes the conception, planning, implementation, and evaluation of teaching, where the pedagogical experiences of the Student Intern are described; Area 2 - Participation in School and Community Relations, which portrays the non-teaching activities that promoted her involvement with the school community; and Area 3 - Professional Development, which presents an investigative essay on the role of self-assessment in the learning domains in Physical Education. To address the needs and issues that arose in pedagogical practice, various strategies were adopted, always with the aim of promoting the integral development of students. The Internship Report is accompanied by a constant reference to the object of the mirror, symbolizing the continuous transformation and constant reflection of the Student Intern.
