Estágio Profissional: Uma Biblioteca de Experiências

Abstract

The present Report reflects my Professional Practicum, a curricular unit of the second year of the Master in Physical Education Teaching in Primary and Secondary Education, at the Faculty of Sport of the University of Porto. Due to the shortage of teachers in the Autonomous Region of the Azores, the Pedagogical Practicum have undergone significant changes. The Intern Teacher is now compensated when responsible for teaching two classes, participating in all tasks assigned to the Cooperating Teacher related to a class they teach, or other classes in which the latter may collaborate and participate. This Report is divided into four chapters. In the first chapter, "Implementation of Pedagogical Practice," I focus on the legal and institutional context of the Practicum, from the description of the Cooperating School to the various stakeholders involved. In the second chapter, "Organization and Management of Teaching and Learning," I reflect on the implementation of professional practice, highlighting the planning, assessment, and projects developed in the scope of teaching. In the third chapter, "Participation in the School and Relationship with the Community," I place special emphasis on advising the class director and describe the various activities developed at the school, with a particular focus on the School Sports Games. In the fourth chapter, "Professional Development," I reflect on the concept of Physical Literacy and present the project developed to improve the Organization and Management Document of the Physical Education and Sport Department. This Internship Report, entitled "A Library of Experiences," serves as a record of my experiences and learning in a real practice context, which have greatly contributed to my development as a teacher.
