Da Pré-época para o Campeonato: entrada na profissão docente

Abstract

The present report is implemented in the 2nd year of the Master's Degree in Teaching Physical Education in Basic and Secondary Education, with the purpose of reporting the experiences practiced during the professional internship, as well as illustrating my professional development process throughout of the school year. The Professional Internship took place in a school in the district of Porto, in an internship group made up of three student trainees, the school's cooperating teacher and the faculty's supervising teacher. This report seeks to describe all my progress throughout the academic year as a teacher, all the aspects that in my opinion contributed to me becoming a better teacher, as well as all the decisions made regarding planning, performance and evaluation. It also mentions other activities carried out at the internship center, especially the school sports in which I was involved. The study carried out and documented in this report is entitled: "Motivation for Physical Education classes: contribution of gender and experience as an athlete.", aims to understand whether gender or experience as an athlete influences student motivation in Physical Education classes. Finally, final considerations are presented that offer an assessment of what was experienced during the professional internship.
