Abstract

The aim of this document is to report the experiences and reflections arising from the internship carried out as part of the second year of the master's programme in Teaching Physical Education in Primary and Secondary Schools, held at Ermesinde Secondary School. This internship was supervised by a teacher from the school (co-operating teacher) and a teacher from the faculty (supervising teacher). The context of the pedagogical practice involved me working in two classes, one in the 3rd cycle, which was my resident class of 12th graders, and another in the 2nd cycle, shared by all the members of the internship group, which consisted of four members. After a brief Personal Background, this document looks at my career and experiences until I started my internship. Next, the Institutional Framework is presented, detailing the internship site, the internship centre, the classes involved and the role of the supervisors mentioned above. The different aspects of professional practice are then described, such as annual planning, the teaching-learning models adopted throughout the school year, the lesson plans drawn up and the moments of reflection and assessment implemented. Finally, I present a theoretical exploration on understanding the differences between playing football in a club context and at school, with the aim of broadening the reflective and critical analysis of the issue.
