Galiza, a Norte do Norte

Abstract

Galice is part of Spain if you see it from Portugal. But seen from the North of the country, where this text is written, Galice is essentially a regional continuity. That is especially clear if you live near a historically porous border. On a multiscalar perspective, we try to identify some differences and similarities between Galice and the North of Portugal, and also internal heterogeneities, considering historical, geographical and cultural aspects as well as recent developments of the political geography and cooperation.
