| dc.description.abstract | Service learning as a teaching approach is not common in the Portuguese school system. However, it is a valuable pedagogy that can positively impact EFL learners given that it has the potential to enhance students' public speaking skills, confidence, and community engagement, while bringing the core values of the "Perfil dos Alunos à Saída da Escolaridade Obrigatória" to life. This article aims to briefly explore how EFL teachers can engage in meaningful service within the scope of the current curricula. | |
