Abstract

As part of the curricular unit of the Professional Internship of the Master's Degree in Teaching Physical Education in Basic and Secondary Education, I carried out an internship at the institution Escola Secundária da Senhora da Hora, with the aim of improving my teaching skills as a Physical Education teacher, managing concepts theoretical in practical contexts and consequently understand in a more elaborate way the educational dynamics in the area. To describe this entire teaching-learning process, a document called Internship Report was produced, with the collaboration of Advisor Professor, Cooperating Professor, as well as the respective FADEUP internship nucleus. This document aims to report my entire academic journey, as well as the respective reflections and questions in this professional stage through a personal perspective of an intern student. Throughout this document I will address themes relating to reflective dimensions, personal dimension, where some convictions and speculative ideas are inserted regarding the role to be performed at school and professional dimension, which encompasses the characterization of the school institution, the understanding and framing of the professional internship as well such as the planning and management of teaching and learning, involvement in the school and the relationship with the academic community. Finally, I address the research dimension, which includes a research study on the perception of the Coordinators and Discipline Representatives of the Senhora da Hora School Group on the role of Escola Ativa. I hope, in this way, to be able to report in detail my enriching experience as well as the challenges I overcame in my role as a Physical Education teacher.
