Percurso para o desenvolvimento de competências de Ensino da Educação Física

Abstract

In the context of the 2nd cycle of Physical Education Teaching in Primary and Secondary Education at the Faculty of Sports of the University of Porto, this internship report is presented. It reflects on the acquired skills and experiences as a Student Intern in a school cluster in the northern region of the country throughout the internship year during the academic year 2022/2023. In the first part, a brief presentation of the student intern is made, which will provide the reader with information about their characteristics and initial expectations regarding the Professional Internship. This is followed by the Institutional Framework, where the school is discussed in terms of structural and physical conditions, relationships with teachers, and a reflection on the resident class. After these preliminary frameworks, the report is divided into three main areas: Area 1, Teaching Organization; Area 2, Participation in School Activities and Community Relations; and finally, Area 3, Research Dimension. In Area 1, aspects of teaching conception, planning, annual planning, unit lesson planning, lesson plans, teaching models, instruction and feedback, classroom management and control, assessment, lesson observation, and reflection are integrated. In Area 2, within participation in school activities, the involvement in the Futsal and Volleyball Club, the school and district Cross- Country events, the Athletics Meeting, School Day, and the Showcase are discussed. Finally, in Area 3, the Research Project is introduced, which aimed to study communication within the scope of my teaching, specifically the instruction and feedback provided in the sports of handball and gymnastics. The written document reflects on the path taken in the Professional Internship, highlighting that this acquisition requires a practice of excellence, resulting from the acquisition of theoretical and practical knowledge.
