| Abstract: | This work aims to demonstrate how the model of mystical holiness of St. Teresa marked the modes and forms of female monastic spirituality in Portugal. The field of study is the universe of Portuguese Poor Clares from two different monasteries, through a devoted biography of Soror Mariana do Evangelista, written at the end of the 17th century, and an autobiography written by Soror Clara do SS. Sacramento, by order of her confessor. |
| Description: | Este trabalho visa demonstrar de que modo o modelo de santidade mística de Sta. Teresa marcou modos e formas de espiritualidade monástica feminina em Portugal. Toma-se como campo de estudo o universo de clarissas portuguesas de dois mosteiros diferentes, através de uma biografia devota de Soror Mariana do Evangelista, redigida nos finais do séc. XVII, e uma autobiografia redigida por Soror Clara do SS. Sacramento, por ordem do seu confessor |
