| Abstract: | The present dissertation begins with an experimental exercise of a house into a real circumstance. On the slope of the river Dão, in the town of Nelas that belongs to the city of Viseu, a region marked by the harshness of the granite and the climate, as well as the fertile soils that awaken a dense vegetation, a project exercise is proposed, boosted by a request made by my family, who asks for a holiday home in this site. The request to inhabit this place awakens doubts and concerns, which I try to soothe throughout this process with the help of drawing and a set of lesson-works with which my work shares some problems and empathies. Starting with the understanding of the site and the request itself, hypotheses are launched, searching for the construction of the problem and its solution. Critical reflection about the dwelling and the home spaces becomes indispensable. In this way, seeking to clarify this complex exercise, we resort to the enunciation of essential actions to inhabiting, based on which the design of the Home-Path will be guided - a fragmented house along the slope. |
| Description: | A presente dissertação parte de um exercício experimental de uma casa para uma circunstância real. Na encosta do rio Dão, no município de Nelas pertencente ao distrito de Viseu, uma região marcada pela rudeza do granito e do clima, assim como pelos solos férteis que despertam uma densa vegetação, propõe-se um exercício de projeto potenciado por uma solicitação por parte da minha família, que me pede uma casa de férias neste sítio. O pedido de habitar este local desperta dúvidas e inquietações, as quais se tentam sossegar ao longo deste processo com o amparo do desenho e de um conjunto de obras-lição com as quais se partilham problemáticas e empatias. Partindo-se da compreensão do sítio e do pedido, lançam-se hipóteses procurando a construção do problema em solução. Tornase indispensável a reflexão crítica sobre o habitar e sobre o espaço casa. Desta forma, procurando clarificar este complexo exercício, recorre-se à enunciação de ações essenciais ao habitar, com base nas quais se orientará o desenho da Casa-Caminho - uma casa fragmentada ao longo da encosta. |
