| Abstract: | Within the scope of the master's thesis, this work identifies in the literature concerning the study of Emotional Design a notorious gap in the existence of a grammar of practical applicability that specifies which parameters pertain to each of its three dimensions, especially in interaction design contexts. Thus, the development of an ontology that elaborates which factors compose and most influence each of the valences of Emotional Design is considered a fundamental contribution in the creation of emotionally meaningful interactive applications. Additionally, semiotics and embodied cognition both reveal themselves as areas of study with potential for integration and development of the Emotional Design investigative line, relationships that are not found, equally, in the literature on the subject. We specify the appropriateness of these relations between areas of study, and present a preliminary ontological proposal that is methodologically tested and that points to future theoretical deepening concerning the factors pertaining to each of the dimensions of Emotional Design. |
| Description: | Enquadrado no âmbito da dissertação de mestrado, este trabalho verifica na literatura referente ao estudo do Design Emocional uma notória lacuna na existência de uma gramática de aplicabilidade prática que especifique quais os parâmetros pertencentes a cada uma das suas 3 dimensões, em especial em contextos do design da interação. Deste modo, considera-se o desenvolvimento de uma ontologia preliminar que elabore que fatores compõem e mais influenciam cada uma das valências do Design Emocional uma contribuição fundamental na criação de aplicações interativas emocionalmente significativas. Adicionalmente, a semiótica e a embodied cognition revelam-se ambas como áreas de estudo com potencial de integração e desenvolvimento da linha investigativa do Design Emocional, relações estas que não se verificam, igualmente, na literatura a esta aplicada. Especifica-se o oportunismo destas relações entre áreas de estudo, e apresenta-se uma proposta ontológica preliminar que é testada metodologicamente e que aponta para futuros aprofundamentos teóricos relativos aos fatores pertencentes a cada uma das dimensões do Design Emocional. |
