A região do Barroso como um museu vivo - propostas de reabilitação de Ruínas em Pitões das Júnias

Abstract

In the year 2000 arises the idea to the creation of an Ecomuseum to the region known as Barroso. This territory, in the council of Montalegre, reveals a huge cultural, social and economic heritage, which matters to promote and preserve. The recognize of the material and immaterial values of this territory appears as the raw material that reveals an unequivocal authenticity that can and must be preserved and perhaps increased. So, this work is based in the identification of patrimonial values existing, material or immaterial, since remote times until our age, having a special incidence in the constructed patrimony and its authenticity, and the recognition of a conductor line that allows that this authenticity doesn't disappears, and so, the elements that features this region may be protected, and therefore finding the solution for its subsistence. A village called Pitões das Júnias becomes the object of study in an approximated scale, assuming that a local approach results in a bigger recognize and exploitation of its territorial values, that allows understanding its capital gains and its needs. To question the way of an architectonic intervention in a village with so many traditional constructed heritage, this work proposes the rehabilitation of ruins, not essentially to solve, but rather, to understand the way of its applicability.
