O teatro como Território Cultural Itinerante. Uma Proposta

Abstract

The theatre has presented, since ever, a citizen nature, "(...) born to the city. Political, social, shows with words and actions the men achievements and weakness. In that sense, all theatre is originally tragedy, because it is the human condition and destiny within the city."4. For us, architects, the theatre could be a land of natural tests, where it's possible to study alternative approaches to our discipline. In a similar way, the theatre directors have worked the perception of space questions, developing in some cases such complex concepts like the ones we find in the work of many architects. No doubt that we are in facing a way of moving images and of real space, mediated between the space for action and the space for the spectator. Therefore, in this work, we analyse the architecture and the theatre because both concern with the organization of the space. The works that we use as a study5 cases, try to explore, precisely, questions of spatiality and through them, reveal de relashionship between the theatre, architecture and the spectator. Other choices could have been considered, however, the projects selected are representitives because in them are well reflected ways of looking at architecture presented by the theatre.
