Abstract

The "LAB" is the "place" where there is the review of EMOTIONAL concepts that influence the way Space relates to the Individual, making him, think, feel, act and react in a certain way. There's a pursuit to better understand the role displayed by the perceptual and interpretive mechanisms in the architectural apprehension and, consequently, unleashed EMOTIONS. It becomes clear that an intimate and unique bond is established between the Human Being and Space, as it gains a new meaning when individualized and recreated as the result of the simultaneous and continuous projection and assimilation. There is an understanding of the importance of creating ATMOSPHERES - generators of EMOTIONS - as the result of a first impression, where physical factors - Space - are conciliated with a personal predisposition - Being. Nowadays, in a society that is constantly exposed to the media and that is hardly impressed, there is a demand for the extraordinary and the original, as a challenge to surprise, chasing the "wow" factor, which draws people out of their comfort area. This means that the architecture that provokes enigmas, that raises questions, that causes EMOTIONS, is the most stimulating and as a result more attractive. Thus, through the study of several cases, where the experimental nature and the presence of new technologies are identified, the effect of certain values such as Chaos, the Formless, the Biomorphism, the Maze, Vertigo, the Colossal are explored recognizing permanent values as of fluidity, dynamism, grandiosity, seeing that it is a way to better connect to the public. Therefore, there is the intention of studying the implications of new paradigms that depend on the experimental nature of the architecture, through the exploitation of new construction and designing technologies, and on deepening the EMOTIONAL and sensory stimulation. With this, there is the recognition of the important role and influence of the architectural tools on a place for EMOTIONAL processing, highlighting the sensitivity necessary to control them.
