| Title: | Evaluation Of Sensitivity Evacuation Times |
| Issue Date: | 2013 |
| Abstract: | Evacuation training is an essential procedure in order to detect flaws and to train workers exiting buildings in a controlled way. As this involves very high costs as well as production stops, it cannot be performed very frequently. So, it should be planned in order to detect potential failures and correct them in due time to maximize its success and reduce costs. This paper aims at showing the usefulness in applying simple means of prediction, such as to measure the length of the path to go and the travel time. The simulation of several scenarios was done with this kind of data and it was possible to identify as critical, the frequency with which workers cross the emergency door. This made possible to identify the training of this matter as essential for the successfulness of the evacuation. |
