Escala e Paisagem: reflexões a partir da prática do projeto. Centro Hípico em Amarante

Abstract

This dissertation aims to develop an equestrian center project, which will allow raising some questions and themes, which will help to reflect on all the learning developed along the academic path. In a closer level closer to horse and riding, the objective of this intervention is to create a familiar and welcoming environment, exploring issues of scale of proximity and the relationship between man, horse and nature. The drawing is the starting point of the development of this work, which accompanied the reference readings, will accompany the entire journey. Questions arise as to how architecture is able to achieve a balance that is integrated into the melody of a place, where nature is evident, often with changes made by man. The process goes through the study of the relation between the project and the city, and the way an equestrian centre of study (with a certain environment and dimension), it is integrated in a terrain, molding itself to the environment around it. The junction of this process will lead to final reflections, aiming, more than the production of a project, the exploration of themes related to scale and landscape.
