| Abstract: | The present dissertation consists in finding a solution that can rehabilitate the object of study, Quinta da Alegria, currently in a high state of degradation, and also contribute to the dynamization of the city space in which it is inserted, through the reconversion of use, taking advantage of the potential of the place and the existing architectural heritage to ensure the preservation of memory. Therefore, the practical aspect is developed simultaneously with the theoretical one, being necessary to resort to the analysis and interpretation of the context in order to define the new program, a social club and a housing condominium, but also what is the best strategy to approach the set of buildings in ruin, resulting in a project exercise that focuses on the relationship between the existing and the new addition, privileging the form and the materiality |
| Description: | A presente dissertação consiste na procura de uma solução que possa reabilitar o objeto de estudo, a Quinta da Alegria, atualmente em elevado estado de degradação, e também contribuir para a dinamização do espaço de cidade em que se insere, através da reconversão de uso, tirando partido do potencial do lugar e do património arquitetónico existente de modo a garantir a preservação da memória. Assim, a vertente prática desenvolve-se em simultâneo com a teórica, sendo necessário recorrer à análise e interpretação do contexto de modo a definir o novo programa, um clube social e um condomínio de habitação, mas também qual a melhor estratégia de abordagem ao conjunto edificado em ruína, resultando num exercício de projeto que se foca na relação entre o existente e o que de novo se acrescenta, privilegiando a forma e a materialidade. |
