| Abstract: | The following dissertation, contextualized by the contemporary architectural condition and by the personal experience in São Paulo, in Isay Weinfeld office, intends to study the architecture as a symbol and instrument of communication, emphasizing Art as an experimental and investigative field in architectural practice. The study is supported by an orderly narrative, through four informative moments - Architecture as Art; Three Speeches; Spaces of Consumption as Experimentation; Other Speeches. It is based on research and critical reading of the texts mentioned above and in four case studies - Forum SP; Livraria da Vila; D-Edge Club; Galeria Melissa - which expose and question the project options and the character of two authors - Isay Weinfeld and Muti Randolph - relating them to the projects being analyzed and to the physical experience of each space. |
| Description: | Contextualizada pela condição arquitetónica contemporânea e pela experiência pessoal na cidade de São Paulo, no escritório Isay Weinfeld, a presente dissertação pretende estudar a arquitetura como símbolo e instrumento de comunicação, enfatizando a Arte como campo experimental e investigativo na prática arquitetónica. O estudo assenta numa narrativa ordenada através de quatro momentos informativos - Arquitetura como Arte; Três Discursos; Espaços de Consumo como Experimentação; Outros Discursos. Apoia-se na investigação e leitura crítica dos textos abordados e em quatro casos de estudo - Forum SP; Livraria da Vila; D-Edge Club; Galeria Melissa - que expõem e questionam as opções de projeto e o caráter de dois autores - Isay Weinfeld e Muti Randolph - relacionando-os com as obras em análise e a vivência física de cada espaço. |
