Estágio Profissional: Prática Supervisionada

Abstract

This document, named Internship Report, is part of the course unit Professional Internship, which is part of the 2nd cycle in Master of Physical Education Teaching in Basic and Secondary Education at the Faculty of Sport of the University of Porto. The professional traineeship took place at Escola Básica Eugénio de Andrade, in Porto, with a core of three students and one cooperating teacher. This stage allows trainee teachers to put into practice the knowledge acquired throughout their training process in the teaching of Physical Education in a real context, existing, simultaneously, a permanent contact between the Cooperating Teacher (of the school) and the Supervising Teacher (of the university). This report aims to reflect the whole process that was experienced throughout the school year, namely describing the planning, implementation and evaluation and their respective problems and solutions during the internship. This document is divided into three main parts. The first part refers to the personal contextualisation that aims to inform readers about the author of the document. The second part is the institutional characterization which aims to characterize the school community and specifically the assigned class. Finally, professional practice includes three areas of performance: area 1 (Organization and Management of Teaching and Learning), area 2 (Participation in the School and Community Relations) and area 3 (Professional Development).
