O IMPACTO DE UMA LONGA CAMINHADA RUMO AO PAPEL DE PROFESSORA

Abstract

This document was prepared within the scope of the curricular unit of the School Placement of the 2nd cycle of studies in Teaching Physical Education in Basic and Secondary Education, at the Faculty of Sports of the University of Porto. The document portrays the path of a pre-service teacher (the author), in the course of supervised teaching practice. The school placement was carried out in a basic and secondary school, located in Espinho, in a 12th grade resident class and a shared 5th grade class. During this practicum year, several experiences were shared, from the initial understandings about the teaching of Physical Education, to the difficulties felt that needed to be discussed throughout the year. In the spotlight comes the surprise of what, in fact, is the act of teaching and the confirmation of the passion for teaching, which made me overcome the challenges imposed by this phase. It is also important to emphasize that the school placement entails a very high pedagogical value for what is the initial training of a teacher, so I value this learning opportunity that I enjoy. In this school space I had the opportunity to teach and learn with all the elements of the educational community, regardless of their status and age. The daily experience of a teacher was also a learning experience, in the interaction with other teachers, colleagues, students and in the elaboration of the tasks inherent to the profession. The research study carried out focused on the question of the impact on the active participation of students in handball. The data indicate that the work of mixed and/or separate groups were not substantially differentiators in the technical-tactical variables analyzed. KEYWORDS: PHYSICAL
