| Abstract: | In this paper, I analyze different versions of foundationalism (namely classical foundationalism, moderate internalist foundationalism, and moderate externalist foundationalism) as an answer to the puzzle about the structure of justification, also known traditionally as Agrippa's Trilemma. I begin by explicitly formulating this puzzle, and then I scrutinize the regression argument for foundationalism. In the final part, I discuss the different versions of foundationalism and I hold that the most plausible version is the moderate externalist foundationalism. |
| Description: | Neste artigo, analiso diferentes versões de fundacionalismo (nomeadamente, o fundacionalismo clássico, o fundacionalismo moderado internista e o fundacionalismo moderado externista) como resposta ao enigma sobre a estrutura da justificação, também conhecido tradicionalmente como o Trilema de Agripa. Começo por formular explicitamente esse enigma e, de seguida, examino o argumento da regressão a favor do fundacionalismo. Por fim, discuto as diferentes versões de fundacionalismo e defendo que a versão mais plausível é a do fundacionalismo moderado externista. |
