Abstract

The Professional Internship is a stage of teacher training that aims to provide the trainee the opportunity to experience all the activities inherent to the teaching function, in a supervised and accompanied process, where it is intended that he is able to mobilize all the knowledge acquired so far and to perform the necessary learning to methodological and organizational practices of school management and planning and management of the teaching-learning process, taking into account the psychomotor, socio-affective and cognitive development of their students. This Final Professional Internship Report is based on the pedagogical activity carried out in a 10th grade class of the Science and Technology area of the Secondary School of Valongo, in the school year 2020/2021, arising under the 2nd cycle of studies in Teaching Physical Education in Primary and Secondary Education, Faculty of Sport, University of Porto. This document is structured in four distinct parts. The first part consists of a personal background and a brief presentation of the internship institution, as well as my internship core and initial expectations about this school year. This is followed by an in-depth description of all the tasks and activities performed with a structured reflection of all the activities of the teaching practice, the learning achieved, and the difficulties overcome. The third point describes some aspects of the work developed with the school community and, finally, a part dedicated to the theoretical and critical deepening on the importance of the implementation of a functional training circuit throughout the year, aiming at the development of students, comparing the evolution of their results of the fitness tests of FITescola.
