Abstract

Throughout half a century, one finds several records concerning the establishment in Lisbon of a family of artists of Roman origin. One may follow their fight for subsistence and reputation at a time of deep ideological, political and military turbulence which strongly affects their sphere of activity, both regarding economic and cultural aspects.
