Abstract:	The formalized and effective use of logos is the main point of intersection of two ancient arts that, like so many others, originated in Ancient Greece - Poetics and Rhetoric. This volume brings together a set of articles on the relationship between these two arts, authored by specialists from different areas of knowledge: Classical Studies, Philosophy and Portuguese Literature. The articles cover a wide span of time, from antiquity to the XXIst Century, and address theoretical questions, such as those related to certain concepts - climax, sublime, or even hermeneutics, rhetoric and poetics -; and other practical ones, which consist of the analysis of literary texts in the light of some aspects of rhetorical theorization.
Description:	O uso formalizado e eficaz da palavra constitui o principal ponto de intersecção de duas artes milenares que, como tantas outras, tiveram origem na Grécia Antiga - a Poética e a Retórica. Este volume reúne um conjunto de artigos sobre as relações entre estas duas artes do logos, da autoria de especialistas vindos de diferentes áreas do conhecimento: os Estudos Clássicos, a Filosofia e a Literatura Portuguesa. Os artigos cobrem um vasto lapso temporal, que vai da Antiguidade até ao séc. XXI, e abordam questões mais teóricas, como as relacionadas com determinados conceitos - clímax, sublime, ou mesmo hermenêutica, retórica e poética -; e outras mais práticas, que consistem na análise de textos literários à luz de alguns aspectos da teorização retórica.
