Dois casos exemplificativos da emigração portuguesa desde 1966 até à actualidade

Abstract

The author starts with a brief analysis of the Portuguese migratory movement to France from 1966 to 1987, and its consequences on the organization of the Portuguese territory. Thus, the first part of this paper is mainly concerned with the interpretation, in a comparative way, of the spacial behaviour of some cases, e. g, the types of Portuguese emigration, areas of origin, areas of residence and professional activity in France.In the second part, the return of emigration to the rural area of Geres, and its consequences upon the differentiation of areas, predominantly of the attractive and repulsive type, is studied.
