"Estágio Profissional: O Caminho de um Professor Anfíbio em tempos de Pandemia"

Abstract

This document is part of the curricular unit (UC) Professional Internship, a UC that is part of the 2nd cycle of Physical Education Teaching in Basic and Secondary Education, at the Faculty of Sport of the University of Porto. The Professional Internship, also called Supervised Teaching Practice (PES), took place at Escola D. Dinis, in Santo Tirso, with an internship center composed of three students and a collaborating teacher. This is an internship report and has at its core a reflective account of an amphibious student-teacher in times of pandemic. This document comes at the end of an academic phase. The term amphibious teacher arises from the constant adaptations that had to exist throughout this academic journey. Like an amphibian that adapts to the terrestrial and aquatic environment, I had to adapt to the school, to the course, to the adaptations of the planning, both in terms of content and the classroom, adapting to the subject to be taught, it was, therefore a great challenge and constant adaptations and that is why the word amphibian appears to indicate the constant need to adapt. This document is divided into three main parts. The first part concerns the personal contextualization, where a little of what the author of the document is is mentioned. The second part is the institutional characterization, where there is a deep characterization of the school community and the class involved. The latter is called professional practice and is divided into three areas of action, namely: area 1 (Organization and Management of Teaching and Learning), area 2 (Participation in School and Community Relations) and area 3 (Professional Development).
