| Abstract: | The present thesis focus on a case study of a project for an "ilha do Porto" on Rua de S. Victor, developed during "Arquitectos de Familia" workshop sessions. The subject of this study is the universe of "Ilhas do Porto" and its incompatibility with the present regulatory framework, it also is taken in account the evolution of the position by the government representations about this problem, old and present strategies are compared and contrasted in a way to find answers to the lack of information around this type of housing, as well as the rehabilitation of the "ilhas" as a way to provide low price rentals to tenants in need. "Ilha Grande" case study pretends to put all this concerns to test in a way that its result is a proposition sustained by the practical experimentation in order to make sure that it is the right step on a long path. Moreover, accentuate the urge to show that this could only happen with an hands-on approach on a multidisciplinary perspective that involves all the shareholders on this matter, in order to achieve success. |
| Description: | A presente dissertação centra-se no caso de estudo de um projecto para uma ilha do Porto, na Rua de S. Victor, desenvolvido no âmbito de um workshop "Arquitectos de Família". Tendo como objecto de estudo o universo das ilhas do Porto e a sua relação de incompatibilidade com o enquadramento regulamentar vigente, estuda-se a mudança de discurso associado à problemática destes núcleos habitacionais, analisam-se acções antigas e estratégias recentes na procura de resposta às lacunas presentes neste território, bem como se estudam oportunidades e constrangimentos num caminho pretendido para a reabilitação das ilhas com vista à habitação e arrendamento acessíveis. Com o caso de estudo da Ilha Grande, pretende-se pôr à prova todas estas inquietações, de onde resulte uma proposta que, pela via da experimentação, se demonstre um acréscimo relevante para um caminho que se prevê longo. Por último, evidenciar a necessidade de aproximação ao território, através de um trabalho multidisciplinar, capaz de envolver todos os actores envolvidos nesta problemática, de forma a levar a bom porto soluções adequadas e bem-sucedidas. |
