Reabilitar para a Comunidade: O Edifício do Grupo Dramático e Beneficente de Rio Tinto

Abstract

This dissertation intends to present a rehearsal of a project for the rehabilitation of the Grupo Dramático e Beneficente de Rio Tinto's building. With a problem of discontinuity between the two volumes of the building and with most of its facilities lacking intervention, the challenge was to come up with a solution that would solve those problems, while creating different and multifaceted spaces that would allow the adaptation of uses to the new requirements of the modern day society. The project essay intends to provide an answer to the problems identified and, at the same time, to serve as a catalyst for reflection for the Grupo Dramático e Beneficente de Rio Tinto, as well as for Rio Tinto's community to be able to better envision their future.
