| Abstract: | The project of a house-gallery was the starting point for the development of this dissertation. The program required the combination of two distinct but not inseparable functions: a weekend house and an art gallery. This dissertation is composed of two pieces, which although they work as a set, can also be read individually. The first piece translates into texts, images, models, sketches and final drawings, the ideas that, in one way or another, were contributing to the construction of the house-gallery. In the second piece, several texts try to inform the reader of the questions raised by the readings and research of the works of four architects. These two pieces coexist in a logic of mutual contamination. However, it is precisely in this intersperses of fragments of the first and second piece that the dissertation seems to be more coherent. |
| Description: | A realização do projecto de uma casagaleria serviu de ponto de partida para o desenvolvimento desta dissertação. O programa exigia a combinação de duas funções distintas, mas nem por isso indissociáveis: uma casa de fim-de-semana e uma galeria de arte. Esta dissertação é composta por duas peças, que apesar de funcionarem como um conjunto, podem também ser lidas individualmente. A primeira peça traduz em textos, imagens, maquetes, esquissos e desenhos finais, as ideias que, de uma forma ou de outra, foram contribuindo para a proposta do projecto da casa-galeria. Na segunda peça, vários textos tentam informar o leitor das questões levantadas pelas leituras e investigação das obras de quatro arquitectos. Estas duas peças coexistem numa lógica de contaminação mútua. Contudo, é precisamente neste intercalar de fragmentos da primeira e da segunda peça que a dissertação parece ganhar sentido e coerência. |
