Abstract

It is paramount to contribute to the growing body of knowledge in relation to the definitive and imposing nature of design in and of itself, through research on the invisibilities which permeate the dialogue between environment, architecture and people. Given that today an individual action can produce an impact on a global scale, the whole distance - from the earth to the human body - is to be explored, in order to understand the diversity of forms and consequences which arise along the border. The wall is the architectural object which underlines said phenomena, the meeting place between elements approaching contact. Catalysed by these conceptual motifs, the following dissertation is based on the exchange established between a written thought process and a plastic experimentation, conducted in a studio context.
