| Abstract: | The objective of the presente work focuses on how we rethink the city as a pulsating organism , a reflection of who inhabitats it and who builds it . Through the study of the city we can discover themes to discuss while methodologies of work arise. The architectural response is a result of critical observation of the urban landscape of the city, combining local identity and the requirements that the program of the building requires. The design of this space seeks its own uniqueness through integration and architectural characterization. As such, this dissertation seeks to formalize an attitude towards the act of building the architecture of the city . |
| Description: | A problemática do trabalho centra-se na forma como repensamos a cidade como um organismo pulsante, reflexo de quem a habita e constrói. Através do estudo da mesma, verificam-se hipóteses, encontram-se temas e métodos de trabalho. A resposta arquitectónica, por sua vez, afirma-se como resultado da observação crítica da paisagem urbana da cidade, conjugando a harmonização entre a identidade local e as exigências que o programa requer. A concepção deste espaço procura a sua própria singularidade através da integração e caracterização arquitectónica. Por fim, o presente trabalho procura formalizar uma atitude perante o acto de construir a arquitectura da cidade. |
