| dc.description | A dissertação, "O Percurso da Margem do Rio Cávado: Uma proposta de consolidação" nasce do sentido de reconhecimento das imensas possibilidades, naturais, históricas, sociais, desportivas e de lazer, existentes neste território. Este conjunto de possibilidades tem estado votado ao esquecimento a nível de intervenções urbanísticas, contrariamente ao que seria espectável, fazendo por isso sentido agir para harmonizar o território com as suas múltiplas potencialidades. Ao mesmo tempo em que isto sucede, a população parece estar consciente das virtualidades do espaço, dando-lhe um usufruto espontâneo num desejo de vivenciar deste lugar natural. Daí decorre que este uso por parte da população tenha que se confrontar com obstáculos que empobrecem e limitam a fruição do local. Neste contexto, apresenta-se como essencial traduzir o valor do território de uma forma fundamentada, através de uma análise teórica e gráfica, desde a escala mais abrangente (Braga - Cávado) até à escala mais aproximada, incidindo sobre a margem fluvial e respetivos polos dinamizadores. Assim, procura-se aprofundar o conhecimento do território com um estudo das componentes morfológicas, históricas e desenvolvimento urbano. Para dar resposta ao conjunto de possibilidades e limitações, desenha-se a presente estratégia projetual como forma de contornar as dificuldades existentes e qualificar os núcleos de interesse, potenciando as valências do território. Assim, emerge o passadiço da margem do rio Cávado, como modo de consolidação dos diversos núcleos dinamizadores e estruturação desta frente de natural. | |
| dc.description.abstract | The dissertation, "The walkway of Cávado's riverbank: a proposal of consolidation", rises from the recognition of the immense possibilities, natural, historical, social, sports and leisure, existing in this territory. This set of possibilities has been doomed to be forgotten when it comes to urban planning interventions, inversely to what would be expected, making it necessary to harmonize this territory with its multiple qualities. At the same time, the population seems to be aware of the potential of the riverbank, giving it a spontaneous fruition in a desire to enjoy this natural place. It follows that this use by the population has to face obstacles that impoverish and limit the enjoyment of the space. In this context, it is essential to translate the value of the territory in a reasoned way, through a theoretical and graphic analysis, from the most comprehensive scale (Braga - Cávado) to the closest one, focusing on the riverbank and the respective dynamic cores. In this sense, we seek to deepen the knowledge of the territory with a study of the morphological, historical and urban components. In order to create a response to the set of possibilities and limitations, the present project strategy is designed as a way of circumventing the existing limitations and qualifying the cores of interest, enhancing the best valences of the territory. Thus, it is materialized the walkway of the Cávado riverbank as a way of consolidating the various dynamizing cores and structuring the present natural front. | |
