Da memória ao lugar: o (re)desenho de uma casa

Abstract

This dissertation intends to focus on domestic dwelling and the architectural space as an object of study that supports and conditions human behavior. The work will focus on deepening ways of living from the redesign of my parents' home, in the confrontation between personal memories and its site condition. It is from the desire to retrieve all the memories and to rethink the architecture of this house, that it is pretended to combine the reflection about home and dwelling. The project intends to deconstruct the existing, considering what can be maintained, destroyed or transformed, giving importance, not only, to the way of inhabiting of each person in each space, but also, to the history of the house over the years, the dialogue with the surrounding and the relationship between the inhabitant and the place.
